Newah Academic Conference on Culture and Heritage (NACCH)
Newah Academic Conference on Culture and Heritage (NACCH) is an academic initiative of Pasa Puchah Guthi, UK(PPGUK) dedicated to advancing scholarly research, interdisciplinary dialogue, and cultural engagement on Newah history, language, traditions, and identity. In line to the mission of PPGUK to preserve and promote Newah heritage, NACCH provides a platform for academics, cultural practitioners, and activiststo engage in critical discussions on the continuity, adaptation, and transformation of Newah culture—both within Nepal and across the global diaspora.
NACCH recognizes that heritage is not a static relic of the past but a living, evolving phenomenon that must be studied, debated, and reinterpreted. We aim to bridge academic research with lived experiences, ensuring that Newah identity, traditions, and language are examined in the context of modernity, urbanization, migration, and globalization.
While NACCH is primarily based in the UK, it functions as an international initiative, collaborating with academic institutions, cultural organizations, and Newah communities worldwide.
